You never know when you can help

Hi
Over the last few years UBPN has taken a major portion of my free time because I love it...
I am glad to see that I can help others in some small way.

In an effort to add some diversity to my so called retirement I joined Senior Citizens.
I debated going today but promised someone I would meet them there so...
I attended my third meeting.
My friend arrived first and waved me over to where she was sitting and introduced me to a friend of hers.
During the course of the meeting my friend needed something written down, she has some central nervous system issues so, I offered to write it for her.
She had never noticed my injury and when I said it's hard to believe that I started life with a paralyzed hand she was surprised.
Her friend said to me, "my granddaughter has a paralyzed hand and arm it's called Erb's Palsy"... Talk about blowing me off my chair...
She took my information and was going to check with her daughter in law...
She said her daughter in law is on top of everything so she must know about UBPN.
It is a small world...

Kath,

We sure live in a small world.

Thanks so much for sharing, I hope this mother is either already reading our post or starts to.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Kath,
Thanks for sharing this...we just never know...Please let us know if you hear back from either the gradmother or mom of our BPI girl. Wow! maybe she'll be able to have surgery and a functional hand like yours someday & not have to wait 50+ years ...LOL.
Hugs and have a good weekend.

WOW, Kath!! "It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world." Have more BPI children been born in recent years than when we were kids, or is it really such a small world these days? I hope it's just a small world.

Kath,
It is amazing what a small world it is. And thank goodness for UBPN reaching out and helping others.
