anyone have an ultrasound to find shoulder problems

May 12th I go to a new orthopedic doctor who specializes in shoulders.I hear he will do some testing with the ultrasound.Will that show more of the inside of the shoulder than than MRI?I read somewhere the doctor can use this to see possible problems as hes having me try moving the arm.
