Finally some good news (tentative)

I filed for both state and federal disability. Haven't heard from Federal yet and originally got a denial notice from state but not all is lost. Part of the paperwork state sent me was a one page document for my physician to fill out. It basically just asks whether I'm permanently disabled, temporarily disabled, or not disabled. I never in a million years thought that he would mark it permanent but HE DID!!!. Because of that little document and the fact that I am applying for SSDI I qualify for my state's medical card. This will allow me to go see Dr. Addelson (I think gotta check and see if he takes it). And I'm not sure on this point but I think because I'm getting state assistance they actually have a department that helps you work with the Federal to get SSDI. I have to call about that today but if they do that would be a boon as well. I still have to wait for the final conformation from the state but it looks good. This means I can start going back to PT as well as the state will cover what my insurance doesn't including co-pays.
