We are moving to orlando and we are looking to find other people in that location or near that location. My daughter has a left brachial plexus injury from birth. She is currently three years old. Hope to hear from someone.

Adena, my name is LeeAnne and we go to the Space Coast support group picnics and see Leslie McKibben in Melbourne for TES but I live just outside Orlando in a suburb called Winter Springs. Our Orlando doctor is Dr. Joanne Werntz and she is an orthopaedic who does neurosurgery, specializing in the shoulder, arm, elbow and hand. She is well known around here for doing limb reattachments and did my daughter's primary surgery. Michaela is 5 and has a left obpi. She has treated Michaela since birth and has a few other bpi patients. If you need any other info just email me. browning93@netzero.net I can let you in on the local therapists available for bpi, etc. Look forward to hearing from you! LeeAnne

Hello Adena,

My name is Joy and I have a left tbpi from a car accident in 1991. I live south of Orlando in St. Cloud. Sorry I can't really help with doctors. I don't have a BP doctor, just kind of muddle through with what I already know.

Welcome to Florida. You are going to love it here! If there is anything I can do just email me. Good luck with the move. Hope it is as painless as possible when one moves!

Joy

Hey Judy, would you mind emailing me some information on the Space Coast BPI Support Group? Is the group for kids and adults? I am thinking once a month might be a real workable deal for me. Ever have meetings in Titusville? I could combine a meeting with lunch at Dixie Crossroads! Yeah baby! LOL

Joy, the group is for children and adults with bpi and their families. I think the next picnic is going to be August 2 and 3 but that is still tenative. If you want to e-mail me your address I can send you a brochure, since I don't have a scanner or anyway to e-mail it to you. Thanks, LeeAnne
