Hey every one,
I thought I would share a little update with you all.
The last time I was home my OT made me a pronator strap for me. I have since been back at college and play with it when I get a chance to seewhat I can do. Today I had therapy with the student OT at my college and we played Chinese Checkers for the third time this semester. This time I had my strap and put it on just to see what difference there would be. Oh my was there a difference. It was so much easier to move the pegs with my right hand. I didnt know that it could make that much of a difference. I am amazed. It was pretty difficult the first two times I played and this did not even compare, it was so much easier!
Another great thing I noticed was that by wearing the strap I hardly used my shoulder to innitiate the movement. A huge step for me! I always wantto use my shoulder to move my arm. So therapy today was great!!!! I even won the game. lol
for any one that wants to see there is a pic of my strap on my arm on my site under the photo album.
