Finally going to Mayo !?

Hello all,
Hope that all is well=). I'm finally getting together all the info needed for a trip to Mayo.
I believe that I qualify for their Charity Care Program.(good thing).Looking foward to being in the hands of Drs. that understand what we all go thru.
I've done enuff homework and think this is clearly the best decision.Completly confident they can put fourth an honest effort.
Due to my extreme case of financial emberasment,It is trying to be abit difficult to do.
Just recently was turned down for my states medicaid program (Ga.), and quite sure the same can be said for s.s.i. and dissability.Mayo does'nt take that stuff from Ga.....
Anyway that's the scoop,Know for the questions!!
If I do get Charity Care how do I get there and where will I stay.??
Has anyone here had to go thru the red tape of finding free or reduced flights and housing?
I will keep looking myself. And I see all of the options they have on thier site.Just wondering if maybe some of you have some contacts or insight as to what i'm shooting for here??

(Side note) The worst thing you could ever do is not have some sort of medical coverage for youself AND your familly.I am learning this lesson first hand, and it sucks to high hell.

Thank you all for your input.Keep it coming,I need all I can get...

Hi,
We just returned from Mayo and unfortunately don't have pertinent info relative to their Charity Care program - we stayed at the Kahler Inn & Suites which is connected to the clinic (~80/day), but I will say you're in excellent hands with the team at Mayo and the entire staff there. While we didn't have surgery there, we are very impressed with the team and infrascture and will likely return for future surgeries. Best of luck to you!
