my daughter use to wear a bennik splint (joe- cool) at night time; also, she had a dyno-splint for several months.

Brett, if you looked at the pictures on my website you see me with a group of people, I am on the far left, the splint I am wearing in that picture, I also wear at night. Not as often now as a couple months ago. I basically needed that for my hand to protect a surgery that I had this past July. But it did keep my wrist in a good position. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Brett- My son wears a resting hand splint. It feeps his hand, wrist and fingers straight. He started to get ulnar deviation when he was about 3 months old. When he is awake you can't tell anymore, but if he goes a few days without the splint it becomes obvious and I think painful for him.

Brett do you or have you ever seen an OT or PT? These splints are often made of aquaplast or another type of material very similar to aquaplast (sorry I cant think of the name) and are custom made to fit your hand/wrist as well as your needs. If you have availability to an OT or PT they might be able to make something up for you. It does not usually take very long.

Which arm?

I am LOBPI and wore every type of splint in the world as a kid. (I used to stuff the old ones in a bag in the closet, with my arm casts too.)

Now I wear a Hely & Weber athletic splint on my right arm.

Hello All,
FYI, A splint is not available to me for my Left wrist & fingers because how my injury is on those places soooo, I adapted to carrying a sweeze ball in my hand at all times. They are of various materials depending on the day & how my hand is that day. I mostly carry a rubber Morf Ball found at Bed,Bath& Beyond. I collect balls every where I go. Sometimes a furry one feels soooo good to carry; when in a pinch, I grab a Beanie Baby Oh yeah.., I alway carry a ball even in my sleep....
Hugs,
Carolyn J
PS... now I have balls for every color and clothes I am wearing. It's fun.

Hi Brett,

I meant, is the splint for your OBPI arm? Because for some of us, the other arm starts to need its own splint!

Carolyn, I am going to go get some fun squeeze balls (for OBPI this time). What I have right now is a Beanie duck.
