Well had our meeting, & it went not to bad, but me & my union rep thought personnel wre not realy listening to us, but as soon as we mentioned the DRC(disability rights comission)they sat up & took notice. So what's happening is they have spoke about modified vehicles for me to drive, & i'm going to have another meeting next week to get things sorted out about my main problem, my foreman so what they are going to do in the meantime is they going to type a memoir of all the jobs I can do in the yard, & that will be the only jobs he will be able to get me to do. If he trys to give me stupid jobs again i've just to refuse to do them & get straight in touch with personnel & they will sort it out. But me & my rep wiil see what develops from these meetings & if nothing happens we will get in touch with the DRC ourselves & let them take it from there. but I would like to thank everyone for there help & support.
thanks again
bigsel

I am glad to see that this is going in the right direction... Some times we just have to stand up for our rights.

Hope all of this goes well for you.... and that jerk will learn a lesson

Good on yer, mate! The bosses certainly sit up and take notice when you mention the DRC to them...those guys have made a real difference to people in the few years they have been in existence...good luck with the next step...

Well, at least you have started the ball rolling. It does sound like some good came out of the meeting. Perhaps not everything you wanted but sounds like a good start. Glad the first meeting is over??

Hi Bigsel !! Sounds to me as though you had a good meeting. Sometimes you have to send a wakeup call down the line to get things "moving"?? I hope your super will see the need for amending certain "job duties" in order to KEEP very dedicated and productive associates, such as yourself :o) I also hope he will see just how EASY it is to accomplish this. It can't help but make for a much better working environment, huh.

And......thank you for YOUR help and support. Hope things only get better for you.
