awereness bracelot

Finnally some one had asked about my bpi aweareness bracelot! I was excited because generally every one askes about my splint. I have not been able to wear my bracelot until a couple days ago because I can only waer it on my right wrist (bpi side) anything on my left wrist drives me crazy. So since I got a new splint that I can wear for my hand I dont have to wear my post surgery one except for when I am sleeping. And strangely my new splint actually matches my awereness bracelot! How cool is that.
I did get a lot more questions with new classes and teachers about what I "did" to my hand. But at least they dont ask me if I have carpel tunnel. Even some people in my old class that carried over to this semester with all the same people are asking why I have a new splint. So it is all aweness all the time here. By now I would have thought that most people had asked already. I guess I was wrong. Many people I saw last semester are just now asking this semester. I guess I got to know some of them better. Or they are just my bold now. Either way, this college is getting their share of bpi awereness!

Hugs to all,
Amy 18 ROBPI from MN

Hi Amy,
GREAT news!! You are an EXCELLENT Ambassador(Sp??,senor moment,OK!!) for BPI & UBPN. You can always say, "If you want more information you are welcome to go to ubpn.org. as a "Guest",or, do you have a good supple of the "BPI Card" on our Resources Link? Just think how many in the Health Services/Occupations there at your University you are "planting the seed" of BPI injury information in your education universe. Keep up the good work! & good luck on you studies.
Hurray for AMY!!!
(((HUGS))),
Carolyn J

I started wearing my awareness pin on the sleeve of my left arm and, it too, has people asking about it. I explain to them what it symbolizes and that my daughter has the injury to her left arm and that is the reason I wear it on my left arm. People are really amazed to learn about a brachial plexus injury and commend on wearing my pin in support of it.

Dear "Guest",
What a great idea to wear our Awareness pins on our BPI Arms! I never thought of that sooo I'll start now. I am VERY sure it will start the questions...
Thank You for the idea to help spread Awareness.
Hugs all around,
