Hi
According to the independent doctor work comp sent me to, says because of the BPI injury,I should not continue to stretch/use free weights after being discharged from therapy.I thought we are to continue our own at home exercizes, etc once were are discharged. He says doing that on my own OR having a therapist stretch me is not needed.Im thinking.....is this so called doctor at all for me in getting the most I can out of my arm.I think not. This is a work related injury and Im sure they just dont want to pay my bills anymore. But how can he say I should just do everyday tasks as best as I can and not worry about bettering myself? Sandi
can stretching/strenghning be bad for me?

Sandi, Im not positive,Im sure it depends on your injury , but I do not see any reason to stop what physical therapy is currently doing. You dod not want to over do it, but keeping up with what yo uare currently doing is great. When I Stopped therapy, I had a "home program" set up for me! I hated it but I also know that it helped keep my arm flexible and has helped with the minimal atrophy that I have. Go with your gut!! Good luck!
