Anyone have any luck with this? I am starting tonight for 3-5 times per week. I have BPI. My deltoid does not have posterior function and minimal middle area function. I may have surgery in one month to try remove some scarring on the nerve (take pressure off the nerve). Anyone have good results with either?
thanks

E-stim is incredibly important to keep muscles from atrophying while waiting for nerves to repair themselves or for transferred nerves to grow out to the muscle (at a rate of ~1 inch per month, that can take a long time.) And since muscles start atrophying pretty quickly, you don't want to hesitate.

My son had an estim unit he used twice a day at home. It took awhile, since he had to individually "zap" each muscle. I understand there are units now where you can adhere multiple thingies & it fires at random. (I know, not very technical but hopefully you understand!)

Our insurance covered the unit so it must be recognized as effective therapy.

Take care,

Ellen
