Spinal cord stimulator trial

Wondering if anyone has had any success with the spinal cord stimulator for pain relief? I went in for a trial and for a variety of reasons had to have the device removed an hour after they implanted it. I had intense muscular pain associated with the placement of the lead. In addition to that, when they were trying to calibrate the device, my whole body would feel like it was being electrocuted. They couldn't target my right arm. At one point my right leg lifted off the bed and was shaking. I know the placement is difficult but? Anyway, any other experiences?

I have BP due to error during shoulder surgery. I tried a tens unit before testing the SCS. The tens unit aggravated the pain. Also the SCS involves more surgery and thats the last thing I want. I think the SCS works better with back patients. There is too much movement in the shoulder and the wires (leads) can become dislodged or never properly installed.
