Re: Ohio BPI Picnic 2002 registration
Karen,
I already printed out the registration form, will sent out soon. Thank you so much for organizing this event. We had a great time at the Fall picnic last year.
Don't know whether this is too late. Have you considered inviting a therapist to the event? It's so hard to find an experienced therapist who are familiar with BPI in our area. It may be too later to make arrangement. If it is not, I think it would be very beneficial to have some therapists with us.
Thanks, Jenny

Two OTs from TCH will be there so you can always speak to them. Therapists may accompany a family whose child they treat so they can observe the evaluation as well as other evals. The "best" PT I've ever met in the Columbus area retired last summer and moved to Cleveland. I invited her to the picnic but I don't know that she'll come.

Hi, Karen. How are you? I'm so glad we met. Now I know "who" I'm writing to! Anyway, I wanted to pass along a suggestion for your picnic (and for others who coordinate picnics too). If you're doing name badges / stickers, etc. perhaps you could use a different color label / sticker to signify a healthcare professional. That way when parents are walking around, they can meet different therapists, etc. and ask them questions. Plus, it would more easily facilitate therapists meeting each other and sharing thoughts and ideas. Just an idea. When I used to go to business conferences, there were different name badge colors signifying if someone was a banker, a merchant, or a customer, etc. I hope this helps. Have a great picnic! I'd love to attend, but it'd be a bit of a drive for us. How's Elizabeth? Give her a hug from me & Nicole. Take care. -Tina )

Re: Ohio BPI Picnic 2002 registration
Karen,
If you are looking for a local therepist I know of a PT in Cleveland who was Patrick's therepist the whole time we lived there until we moved in 2000. I have spoken with her recently and she is teaching taping classes at TCH. She was just there recently and will go back in November. She is extremely knowledgeable about BPIs, taping, therepy, ect. She started working with Patrick when he was 3 weeks old with taping, myofascial release and other therepies. I credit her with Patricks great recovery along with the 2 surgeries he has had at TCH. She is listed on the kininsiotaping website as 1 of the 60 therepists trained in taping techiniques in the US. If you would like her number or where to contact her let me know. Mabey she would come to the Columbus picnis. Who knows. Hope to here from you soon. How is Elizabeth? Give her hugs and kisses from Patrick. Also thanks for your help with the infomation for the trial. Take care
