Hi All
I just wanted to say it was a pleasure to meet all of the adult injured who attended camp.
I hope in 2007 we will have even more adult/obpi attend.

I learned so many new things this weekend from all of you.
I was so happy to meet you all and put faces and names together. We share so much with each other both on and off the boards.
It was great to see my regular camp friends in person again.
I especially enjoyed meeting our adult/obpi message board LURKER... LOL...
I hope that you sign in soon and share your great sense of humor with everyone... and no I am not talking about Tony... LOL... our resident stand up comic.
Hope you all had a safe trip home and I'll see you in 2007

Welcome Home!! Kath did you ride the horse? I was thinking about all of you at camp (wishing we were there). Please share more of the fun memories. I picture the "LURKER" looking like the Hamberglur from McDonalds - wearing black and white stripes and a black mask - LOL LOL

It must have been awesome to see the kids understanding eachother and the adults having so much in common and life stories to share and compare. I'd love to hear more from anyone that got to go. How did the rally go?? Did you make an impact? What are some favorite memories? Sorry I'm asking so many questions but Britt and I really wanted to go to camp and so anything you post will bring a part of camp to all those that couldn't go. Thanks.

NO HORSE for me...
Because of spinal stenosis and other spine issues doctors said NO - NO... so I watched.

The RALLY was GREAT! We had a GREAT spot right in front of the Capitol and wow what a crowd and our speaker was and Adult/OBPI who was amazing with his comments. It was Jay DeLoach and he is a Rear Admiral I believe retired working for government now( tired brain freeze today). We read the request for a Presidential Proclamation and it was just amazing to see so many people with bpi. We had a Roll call and we announced our State and Names but I began to boo hoo when I saw the kids announcing their own names... ops pass me a tissue... it was touching. It was ok with me when I announce mine or other adults did but the kids just brought me to tears.

Our Medical Panel was awesome and the doctors each made great presentations. We were all happy that they accepted our invitation to be part of the panel.
I was very happy when the doctors encouraged parent to let the kids be kids and not keep them from various activities just because they are OBPI...
I still feel its important to try to be as normal as possible.
Of course I did not let my son play football as a small child because I felt it was dangerous he was always so big for his age. .. but it was not because he was OBPI. I wanted him to be safe and that is normal mothering things......... LOL.....

OK I better get moving... Nancy is arriving at my house very soon today...
