how to recover from damage muscles of shoulders due to paralysis
hi all.my father had paralytic attack on 12th april,2005.His right part of the body was effected.He has significant recovery in his leg and speech but he is not able to recover his hand.His muscles near the shoulders has stretched as we can also see a gap between the hand and shoulder.Sorry i don't know what i should say about it in medical terms.He is getting physiotherapy but till now he can't move his hand.can anybody help me out that is there any way to recover from it???

I don't know if you will get many replies from this group as we are dealing with a different injury than your father. The "traumatic brachial plexus" is caused by a severe trauma to the shoulder and neck,often recieved in motorcycle accidents. It sounds like your father had a brain attack or "stroke". In this case the messaging centers of the brain are compromised resulting in paralysis.
You may,however,get some good ideas from this site on living with upper limb paralysis, a condition most of us share.
