Hi All!
I have been reading this board for the last 2 months since my boyfriend was injured in a motorcycle accident. I have finally decided to sign-on as I am hoping that someone can provide me with much needed information.
I am looking for a BPI Specialist in NYC or Long Island. I have read that many have had successful experiences at the Mayo Clinic however, my boyfriend also has a severe leg injury and cannot travel at this time. Saving his life and his leg was the trauma team's first priority but now we are going on 4 months with slight improvement in the arm and I think it is time to focus on the BPI.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would truly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Tricia

I can verify Court's referral. Dr. Wolfe came highly recommended to me by a great shoulder surgeon. I consulted with him after seeing the team at the Mayo Clinic, whom he knew well, and he recommended I have them operate due to the nature, severity of my injury, and the fact the the Mayo team could offer me more return of function because of the surgical options they offered. I don't believe I would hesitate to have him operate if I couldn't leave New York. Although I'd drive from China to the Mayo if I couldn't fly there...
Best of luck. You're a great girlfriend for looking out for your man...

Thank you for the information - I truly appreciate it. I commend the support you offer to those who have the injury and to those whose loved ones have the injury.
I wish you both the best and I will definitely keep in touch.

Tricia,
I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. Wolfe. He is a great doctor, and a great surgeon. He is also very sensitive to his patients, and very kind & understanding. He is also the only doctor I've ever known to always be ontime, and even early!
All the best,
Gillian
