I found out about three years ago that I have brachical plexopathy I have atrophy in my right hand and arm: I used to be a bodybuilder so I still like to work out but its hard and frusting when you workout so much and your muscles get back to normal then shrink.. I have been very depressed about this and its very hard on my.. I know I shouldn't be whining about this since I have to live with it but I am only 25 years old and still very active I have a family too that I need to take care of.. can you treat this and if so can I get my muscle back .... pls pls reply would be nice to talk to someone about this thx

I was thinking about going to MAYO in minnesota I heard there good and since I only live 1 hr away from them I MIGHT give it a try. but I told by military doctors (which I want another opinion from a civilian doctor ) they told me that surgery would not work if it did only get back 20% of my arm back the other two were death and paralisis ---- what options huh LOL

Hey there.... I would deffo try and see the docs at Mayo... Those that see them have nothing but great things to say and you can find tons of great info on them on the web......... there is hope!! As far as getting more muscle.... it really depends on the extent of your injury.... I personally have regained muscle in the past 4 years since my accident, but we are all different and we all heal different.... btw this is Courtney from MI... did we chat o nthe phone a while back?? Let us know how you get on with this.......

COurt :)

am sorry for your experience...as a life-long swimmer and with BP in my arm shoulder I'm struggling to figure out what to do as well... I just saw dr. allen friedman at the Duke Univ clinic... he knows BP quite well. if interested, let me know and i can dig up his numbers.
