I just thought I'd pass along some info. I foundout by calling the 4H center. There are no cribs available in the rooms and there are no high chairs in the dining hall. It's not a big problem for us b/c we'll just bring the pack 'n play for Joshua to sleep in and the hippo seat to hook onto the table. Just thought others might want to plan accordingly.

Tina,
You are a step ahead of us! You are a very good planner, I think.
We will have an FAQ in the next mailing and included in it is this information. Tina's advice is very good and you should plan accordingly.
We will have several pack n play's available that we are bringing (hey I'm a grandma -- I have a pack n play and a high chair that I'm lugging in my car for someone to use!).
If you are driving and have need, it would be helpful if you could bring whatever you will need. If you are flying, please let us know if you will need us to supply something for you, either in the way of a pack n play or a high chair.

Hope I wasn't being overly anxious, Nancy. I just decided to call the 4H center yesterday b/c I saw some great fares on special at Southwest (which expire tonight) and was considering flying. Then, when I foundout we'd have to bring the pack 'n play, I figured driving would be best. It's only a few hours difference for us after we consider the waiting at the airport, parking, shuttle, etc. It's so thoughtful of you to bring extra supplies for people who have to fly!! Just a note that if you haven't already done so, you might want to measure the pad inside the pack 'n play in case anyone wants to plan to bring their own sheets (washed in Dreft). :O) When I'd suggested flying to my mom and m-i-l who are coming with us, I guess my m-i-l really liked the idea and when I told why I decided it'd be easier to drive, she really tried to convince me to still fly and even told me I could prob. rent a crib somewhere in town! LOL! I understand her wanting to fly b/c if I was traveling w/o little ones, I'd definitely prefer that too -- of course, if I was traveling w/o little ones, I guess I wouldn't have to be going to a BPI camp though would I?! :O)
On another note, Nancy. I might as well mention this also. When I was looking at the guest room info. on the 4H website, it listed a private bath for the triple rooms and for the quad rooms, but not for the double rooms. So, I did confirm it w/them that there is also a private bath in the double rooms (actually, they told me that all guest rooms have bathrooms).
I'm getting so anxious for camp!
Thanks for all your help, Nancy!

We have a bassinet that I'm getting ready to dismantle and pack away. If anyone would like it, you are more than welcome to it. We will be driving so I could bring it along just in case. It is 2years old and hardly used...Zavian slept with my mom(dad had to slept on the sofa!) whenever she stayed the night. My niece poked holes in the mattress so it was discarded, but the bassinet itself is in perfect condition. Email me at "
zgrimes@abgr.com" and let me know if you know someone who could use it.
