Appt with plastic surgeon

We had our appointment at Yale Children's Hospital yesterday. We found out that Mariella will need a molding helmet afterall. Her deformational Plagiocephaly is moderate enough for her to need one. We have to go for a casting and then approx 2 weeks after she will begin wearing it. She has to wear it 23 hours a day and 1 hour off to wash her hair. The doctor said she will wear if for about 2 months, but if she ends up needing surgery for her BPI she will wear it until all of that is over with b/c there is a good chance for the flat spot to return after surgery since she is still little.
About the surgery part...We go back to Boston to see Dr Waters Monday. I am anxious to get there so he could look at her elbow bending. On the other hand, I am not anxious to get there at all because she isnt bringing her hand to her mouth while upright. She only does it laying down or reclined. He wanted to see her do it by this next appt. since she will be 5 months in 3 days. I am very nervous to hear what he has to say!
