This was fun! Today was the first day the splint was off for a real bath. My friend came over and helped me and it really wasn't that bad. But Cassidy scared the crap out of me - she actually moved her arm! Ohhhh Myyyy Goddddd! But it didn't seem to hurt at all. She didn't move it too much - but did pick it up some. I told her - no - we can't do that yet - and she quite. She was a little sore towards the end - but she feels soooo much better now that she's had a real bath and lotion and powder everywhere. Her poor little armpit was soooo stinky from 3 weeks with no soap and water. The steri-strips are finally loosening up - another week or so and they should come off (I hope).

And she smells sooooo good! I just love that Johnsons & Johnsons Bedtime Lotion and Powder!

Baths are good! Hope she sleeps really good tonight!!

I still remember Gabrielle's first bath after surgery (Feb 2001). What a great day! Funny how something so little can just turn things around.
