Hi ya'll.....I've been missing you all and have alot of catching up to do on the Message Boards.I've had family stuff to tend to in Boise Idaho and it was a wonderful solo drive there & back home to Washington State. My angel of a son did terrific "baching" it while I was away. I feel great as it was a trial run for when I come to Camp. Our "kids" can do alot more than we think; there'll ALWAYS be surprises for us. All kids want to be independent just like we were before we found out we were not the only ones, huh!!
Can't wait to get my Camp packet....is our "Summer only" resource person still with us? Did someone give her a computer of her own yet? why not?[sorry, I'm blanking out on you name if you're reading this]
I hope everyone is doing OK & keepin' cool.....I am staying pretty quiet 'till Camp....
~Hugs

Hi Carolyn J & Kath......Thank you for Checking up on me.
Just before my oldest left to go on her one month Vet Internship, 5 to 6 hours away, I TOLD HER, I thought her modem was going out. Well, you know how that goes...It died..I can't dial up.
I get an error in one place that says it is a modem problem......so bought a new one (daughter convinced me I could put it in) She has great faith and said "mom, if you can put in a new light fixture, without electrocuting yourself, you can put in a new modem)......opened box, read directions. Did trouble shoot options first.....they say my current modem is O.K.
Sigh, had other things to do.....so walked away from it for a couple of days.
I still need to practice the new EXCEL I learned in class, before the computer goes back to college. So that is the story. Don't want to completely screw up the computer.
I am at the Jr. College satellite campus (at least closer than the 40 mile one way drive I had to make for my EXCEL class- satellite campus does not offer this class) No time limits (like library), but a 20 mile one way drive.

Hi Angel,I'm glad you've "checked in".Yeah,BUT we are never to old to learn...I'm an example of that. I hate to think what I'd be like if I hadn't taken that computer class in 2002 at our community center!! I'd've never found you guys, peace and UBPN.

Hey Angela- I always notice when you don't post for a few days and I will miss your wisdom terribly after the summer.
Sincerely, Marlyn
p.s- have you ever thought about checking into buying a rebuilt computer or a used one for cheap?
