Rain's clinic appointment

Post by DeShawn »

Just wanted you all to know that Rain got a good report from Dr. Nath today. He said that she is doing extremely well, considering how extensive her injury at birth was. He said that she is intact (shoulder wise) and she is doing as well as she is able to do. He initially said to us 6 months ago that he was wanting to do something surgically for her hand and wrist, but told us today that since she is coming along so well that he is going to give her some more time to see what she gains. We don't have to take her back to see him again until August. We were so happy to hear that surgery is still a little ways off, and to see that all of the tears and tantrums she throws when it comes to therapy are all worth it in the end. Just wanted to share that bit of good news with you all. Thanks for listening.

DeShawn well this is just great! We'll just have to keep on praying for more and more gains and maybe next time you'll have the same report! A reprieve is just wonderful and I hope you take advantage of some 'stress time off' because I know you need a break!

Big hugs to you - have a great weekend,

Yahoo! Doing the bpi boogie!!! So glad to hear the news that she gets to spend a summer "free". Many prayers that those nerves just keep healing right on down that cutie's little arm.

Hope everyone is doing better now!

Wow!!! That's such great news, DeShawn! I'm so happy for you all to know that your summer will be surgery-free and splint-free (well, at least free of the huge post-op splints anyway). Keep up the great work! WTG, Rain! -T
