This was posted on the gen board but makes interesting reading, i can identify with a lot of it, he would have been about the same age when he got his bpi as i was when i got mine. He seems to be bilateral, either that or the overuse in the good arm has buggered it up......uh oh! His right arm is flail like so many of ours, it's not easy for him but he's coping, good for him! and gives me hope for my future. I was interested that he's so self conscious about the wasted arm and shoulder when i don't give a monkey's about mine, and i'm a gurly, maybe it's a generational thing. Pity that throughout the whole lengthy article there is no mention of the name of his condition! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/na ... e/hand.htm

That page gets bookmarked, Jenny !! Thanks so much !! Talk about dejavu. I don't think there are too many of the things discussed in his interview that hasn't been brought up here. Just an excellent piece. I think you need to e-mail him though.....and tell him that riding a horse is possible :o) Thanks again

George

ps...I think we all bear our pain....stoically
