Shoulder Fusion Anyone? and/or (followed by Amputation)

Has anyone out there had your shoulder fused for more stability?
If so, are you able to run/jog or jump or roll around with your dog,
nephew or mate (not all in the same order or way) now that your shoulder doesn't painfully wrench out of place at any sudden movement?
How long was your recovery?
Are you glad you had it done?
And who did it & where?
I believe I'd amputate if it wasn't for having some hand function, which I'm grateful to have, but it's a catch 22. My shoulder's lack of stability and pain it causes because of that lack, prevents me from being the very active indestructible athlete I used to be. Have a muscle transfer to bicept area for elbow flexion, but only reaches chest high and since my fingers on that hand aren't too nimble I give up to only using it to hold a jar while I twist the top off. If the hand worked any less I'd cut it to free myself of this ball and chain I'm dragging around.
I wonder, has anyone fused their shoulder then amputated their arm?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated
Peace on Earth would be a nice change too by the way
