Remember our enemies, those who hate us and oppress us, and repay them not according to their deeds, but rather give them reason and understanding, according to Your great mercy, so that they may see that evil cannot bring good.

Thanks everyone...thought I'd just post my thoughts on this...thank you for your messages. I personally really appreciate them.

The people who did this today in London are a bunch of cowardly scumbags, but I don't think they are totally aware of what they are dealing with.

Whatever the rest of the world think of us, the Brits are at their best when under this kind of threat and menace, as our history shows. We can't forget that we have been living with serious terrorist threats and bombings etc for over 30 years now. We are kind of used to it, even tho the past few years have been pretty quiet...up to now.

I was watching the emergency services on TV doing their stuff and it really showed the true Brit 'grit' as they just quietly, quickly and efficiently got on with the job. No hysteria or grandstanding from the press conferences either..just straight answers to straight questions...yeah, these guys and girls really took the sting out of the word 'terror.'

Don't get me wrong, please, yes the whole thing was shocking in the true sense of the word, but I personally feel that it didn't have anywhere near the impact that these scumbags were hoping for...lets hope they get the message that the Brits aren't easily scared...no way....!!

I can only agree with everything Liz has said. It's great to hear that people are thinking of London right now.
I can't describe how moved and proud I felt listening to the hysteria of the news broadcast and juxtaposing that with the footage of ordinary Londoners calmly and quietly going about their business. The terrorists picked the wrong city if they wanted to scare people.

I finally got through by phone to my dad last night and mentioned to him the 30 years London has been experiencing bomb attacks, he pointed out that his first job, aged 10, was to stand on the roof of a factory in Brixton looking out for bombers. That was 65 years ago. This collection of scum and their cowardly attacks won't make a jot of difference.
Glad everyone I know is safe, sad for the victims and their families, VERY proud of you staunch Brits.
