Hypnosis

Has anyone tried hypnosis? I just got done with a great Psyc course at school and the prof thought that I would be a perfect canidate. I am lined-up to go to one next month.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: MVA in 2001, nerve graph in 2002, Median Nerve Transfer in 2004 and an unsuccessful Gracillis Muscle Transfer in 2006. I am living life and loving it! Feel free to contact me :)

For pain?? I tried that and although it was relaxing, my pain remained the same. I think I've tried everything, hypnosis was my last resort.

Pain, yes. Last resort, that is close to where I'm at. Maybe not the last, but I figure it never hurts (poor pun)to try something different.

I think for it work you really have to believe in hypnosis and if it worked we'd all be running for it. I went a few times and the Dr. gave me a tape to listen to at night. I wanted so bad to believe in it but I just couldn't. If it has worked for anyone out there thats great and I am so happy for you. You'll never know if you don't try. Good luck.
