Long Thoracic Nerve with winging

Post by trishcal »

Hello,
New poster here. I had a car accident about 8 months ago resulting in a long thoracic nerve injury and severe winging scapula. Wondering if you could share some advice on a couple of quetions. 1) Does long thoracic nerve injury fall into the same category of brachial plexus, or are they different? 2) I'm interested in Dr. Nath's surgery, but he's out of network with my insurance carrier. Are there any other surgeons you could recommend that perform a similar procedure? I'm in Califoria, but very willing to travel. Thanks.

Hi Trish,
I replied on my "Chase back from primary w/Belzberg" thread. Do look into thread titled: bpi/winged scapula (last post 5/10/05) - lots of good info there and you might find the help you're looking for. Good luck to you!
