Hi, it's me Andre again.
I just came back from my pre-operation meeting with Dr. Edgerton. Everything has gone well with all of my previous operations. My wrist and fingers work well, my bicep is strong, my tricep is working but a little weak, and my cross c7 muscle now bulges up when I use my tricep. The only thing left for them to fix is my external rotation from my shoulder. They are going to get the lat muscle and tweak it around so that my arm can rotate away from my body. So I have a few questions I'd like to get cleared up here if I can.
1. How do you manage to keep your sanity when your in a body cast for 6 weeks and your arm is stuck in an upward position in a cast?
2. Since they are using the lat muscle, won't that have drawbacks in another part of my arm?
3. What are your experiences with this operation, has it worked well for you?
Thanks in advance. And thanks to everyone who have helped me get through this the past two years.
