Cast is off? Strange look?

My daughter is like 4 Days post cast from TT surgery. Her arm is still in the cast position and she keeps it like that saying it hurts. We have done warm baths and oils, did anyone else have this problem? How long before movement is more common? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Kelly

You should call the surgeon and ask questions about it directly and see what he wants you to do.
Good luck.

I did put in a message with the doctor, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same experience and I am not just "super freaked out by every little thing mom" Like usual. LOL

Every child's injury is different, so every post-surgical recovery will be unique. Best to get answers directly from the source with the "hands on" info!

Hang in there!

I am assuming that Kelly and Jody are friends, and that is how Jody knows that Kelly's child is being treated by Dr. Nath. I think that we need to take greater care in our reference to doctor's names. My child had the same experience with the temporarily upright arm post-op, but my doctor provided me with an enormous amount of information regarding this event and how it would be managed through therapy. When I read the reference to Dr. Nath I was rather shocked by the implication that he may have not provided this vital information to Kelly, and otherwise eased her mind.
