Any of you ever have a "Oh, I am such an idiot" moment?
I have, I just remembered. When Javier was first born and I started researching BPI, docs, treatments etc. I read alot about SOL splint/cast. It took me a whilw to realize it was Statue of Liberty and not Sh*t Out of Luck cast. lol- i still giggle at that one.

Marlyn,
Thanks for the laugh!
I like the name you came up with for it.
When I had my first shoulder surgery back in the 60's, I had to wear a plaster SOL splint for 6 months. It was a full body cast, and I had it on over the summer I was eleven. When it began to itch, I remember feeling a bit 'out of luck' myself!
Thank goodness we have moved way beyond 6 month casts for this surgery.
My mom did not take a single photo of me in that cast. Can you believe it?

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

You are too funny! I think that's a great name for it... You cracked me up!
When I was a baby I wore a brace made of velvet and steel bars and leather... they called it the traffic cop position... when I saw it I thought it look like someone was saying stop... LOL...
