Cold Laser Therapy

Has anyone heard of this? We were watching American Hot Rod last night, and a kid on there had a lot of nerve damage to his face due to a car accident (has 6 metal plates in his head/face). He has been using cold laser therapy to help the nerves regenerate, and is having success. Before he was unable to smile or blink and had a hard time talking, but he is doing a lot better. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of using it for a brachial plexus injury. Thanks!

YeahI saw that Mike has that, I was wondering what that was to, he claims it has help much more than the nerve graphing.

"- the correct wavelengths and power of light at certain intensities for an appropriate period of time can increase ATP production and cell membrane perturbation could lead to permeability changes and second messenger activity resulting in functional changes such as increased syntheses increased secretion and motility changes.."

Had a look at one of the websites kindly linked in a post above, came across the quote above and at that point my brain went numb...anyone here have a clue what on earth the above might mean??? Or am I just being thick today...
