Thank you
If I remember correctly your daughters surgery was transaxilary ? I remember looking at the pictures on your websight. What a great way to share you story. What can you tell me about this surgery?
I am glad to hear that your daughter and your family are doing better.

Francine-
I'm not sure what to ask as i am just learning about this. Can you point me toward any good web sights that explane this procedure in detail? Most of the stuff I found was about TOS surgery. I will tell you what I know. 2 inch incision in the arm pit allows good view of the plexus all the way up to the collarbone. The downside of this approuch is that the surgeon must stretch alot more tissue to get in there so the pain after surg. is higher. Some surgeons prefer this to the infraclavicular approuch be cause they have more room to work and better visability.
Thanks for any more info you can give me.

Cathy - I have to tell you that when I chose the docs at TCH - I put my trust in them. They have worked on so many children that I felt that I could trust them and I never asked questions of the type you are asking. I just thought that whatever method they were using would be their best choice. Sorry I can't help you more.
