My child is now over 2 years and is lobpi . We are increasingly finding it difficult to to handle her therapy-refuses to cooperate at all. So we stopped therapy and learnt to engage him in activities that result in all the required motions. Even that he is bored of now. Wonder where do i go next. He has severe scapular winging. Any ideas on how do I take care of his arm?

I was that 2 year old kid - hated to anything with my arm cause it was so frustrating - so my parents did something different. They had me swimming and I could swim by myself by the time I was 4 yrs old! They also put me in ballet so I had to use my arm so I think the creative way to go is a good one.
I also know that part of my resistance was that no one ever explained that by using my arm it could improve - I never heard that so didn't understand why I had to do all those frustrating exercises. I wish I had gotten that message, maybe I would have cooperated more! See my message a few below your posting on "thought from a child". Suzy
