I was just wondering if anyone has ever used Chiropractic Treatment for BPI? I am considering having my 2yr old son try it. Did it seem to work? What are your thoughts? Any comments?

We have had amazing results with our non force chiropractor. I would suggest interviewing the one you are thinking about seeing and have him/her explain their technique as there are so many different ones. You may even want to read about that type on the internet for more info.
You might even ask around to get a good referral from someone. If you happen to be in CA I can highly recommend one.

What part of CA? We're in Pleasanton. I've been using chiro care for 10 yrs and through each of my 3 pregnancies, but she's never treated bpi. I'm a firm believer in chiropractic care and am hoping my son will also reap good results with his injury.

THANKS SUSIE,
WE LIVE IN MI. WE JUST MET WITH THE DR ON SATURDAY. I AM VERY EXCITED TO BEGIN TREATMENT. SHE DOES USE NON FORCE AND WILL NOT ACTUALLY TOUCH HIM UNTIL HE FEELS COMPLETLY COMFORTABLE WITH HER.

I had a very poor experience with a child chiropractor who came highly recommended and claimed lots of BPI experience.
I took Joshua from 4-6 weeks old, due to concerns that he was "starting to look crooked". Not only did the chiropractor miss the developing torticollis, but he completed mis-diagnosed it. He said it was due to AC-joint sprain and a weakness of the muscles on the BPI side. It is actually caused by shortened or tight muscles on the **BPI** side. He even had the nerve to say he didn't think Joshua had BPI but a "shoulder sprain". Shortly after that our ortho doc told us about the torticollis, we were able to resolve it in ONE WEEK with stretching, and Joshua only needed ongoing positioning strategies.
In our experience, I can definitely say the chiropractor was a waste of time and money.

I was always told NEVER to go to a chiropractor and actually was scared off.
When I was a bout 55 I was in so much pain with my neck, back and a both arms I did not know what to do or where to go. The MD's just offered drugs that put me to sleep most of the time. I was sent to PT and not one of them admitted they knew nothing about OBPI I would not stay because I did not want to waste the time and money without any results.
My friends husband is a chiropractor and I finally called him... Three adjustments later I had an amazing experience. I have a pronated hand and was never able to see the palm of my hand without turning it over with the unaffected hand... I had to hold on tightly or it would just snap back into the pronated position... I am now able to put my obpi hand against my navel and turn the palm up ( but only in that position) to me that was a very big deal and the first progress I can remember. I still cannot supinate but I will always be amazed at what those few adjustments brought to my life.
I now use a PT who was a Chiropractor before becoming a PT... He uses a combination of treatments on me and I have had huge changes after treatment. He used ART therapy and helped me regain MY ROM. I was loosing my ROM because of pain and back issues and the combination of treatments gave me results.

We use a chiro but not for "adjustments" only for Active Release Therapy - which is a stretching technique while moving through the range of motion - supposedly to breakdown scarring and adhesions in soft tissues. Richard has been using it for a few months now and he says it feels better - but I don't really know if I would have accomplished the same with stretching, bracing , splinting and tes whether we used the srt or not - guess it is like a professional stretch thrown in once a week for him.
