Thanks to all

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been on this website and willing to talk about all the trials and triumphs of having bpi. My 14 year old daughter had a complete brachial plexus avulsion injury in January and we are still learning more about her injury. She had surgery in March at the Mayo Clinic and they were able to attach nerves to her shoulder and bicep. They were not able to give her anything below the elbow or fix the phrenic nerve to her diaphragm. She is receiving physical, occupational, speech and vision therapy 3 times a week 45 minutes each session. We have recently discovered that there is nobody in Alaska with her injury (unless they do not receive any rehab) I am hoping that there is somebody about my daughter's age (or not) with this injury that would be willing to talk to her about what they have learned or discovered how to do with only one functional arm and also how to deal with the dangling, heavy arm. She has a hard time reading with her horners syndrome and the brain injury so she does not get on this website and read any of the encouraging things that I see. Thank you.
