Hi,
My 21 yr old son (5 avulsions) did not think much of it, thought it was "witch doctoring" We tried about six visits wilth no helpful results. I'm sure his skepticism didn't help the results. 21 yr old is a tought age. Good luck

Hi, i was getting accupuncture 2 times a week for about 4 months. This was after the initial injury and before any surgery. The acupuncture helped with the pain a lot and really relaxed me. I definately recomend it to anyone as i was not sure on it either but it helped me.
good luck with it all.

It didn't work for me, but we all know that this pain has no constant and that it may work for some.
Everything is worth a try.

What I found was that acupuncture did nothing for the muscles that were not innervated. But for the surrounding muscles it brought relief from pain. Massage also helps these muscles if you use an acupressure style. I found that pressing on the release points when the muscles begin aching really helps. But the ones in my back are hard to reach. Hope this helps...Karl...
