HI AARON HAS TO GET SHOTS ON THE 25TH AND THE PHARMACIST SAID THAT EMLA CREME IS SOLD ONLY WITH A PRESCRIPTION. IS THAT RIGHT?? NEED SOME BY THE 24TH
FOR HIS 6 MOS SHOTS IN THE LEG. OUCH!

Paula - yes it's by prescription. Paula I think that you should go to your pediatrican to get your prescription and to have them show you exactly where to put the EMLA. You put a little glob on the one spot and cover it with Tegaderm. It's a drug that it used for that time period, then must be removed. Also, talk to your doctor if there are any risks for a little one. There are rules for it (i.e.how long it can stay on) and there may be contraindications as well which your doc can talk to you about.
