UBPN Camp 2205

I am wondering if anyone has any information on the UBPN camp taking place Sept. 15-18 in Chevy Chase, MD. Seems to me there was a post here a few days ago, but now I can't find it. Do you think siblings are invited? Do most people usually stay at the same hotel? Are there ongoing events/activities planned each day? How many people generally come to Camp? We have never been to one. Our son is 21mo. and we are thinking of our family going. We also have a 6 yr old son. Any glimpse of new info or past experiences would be helpful.

Hi Janelle,

Everything about camp will be in Outreach which the board is reviewing now. Hopefully it will be mailed out end of this month. But to answer your questions, yes everyone stays at the same place, there are activities, workshops etc everyday, the whole family can come, usually around 200 people come to camp. If you are not on the list to receive Outreach please email Nancy@ubpn.org with your address. For other questions that you have, please email me at Karen@ubpn.org. Also, I will be answering any questions under Camp 2005 so watch for more to come there.

I am very excited that you and your family are planning on joining us at camp this year.

Best to you all,

Karen
Camp Coordinator

My children look forward to this camp every time it rolls arount! It's fun for everyone and it's a great bonding experience for everyone. I hope you all can make it!

This will be a unique camp, as we will be a "City Camp" in our Nation's Capital (although we will be staying at the 4-H Center in MD--it's like a hotel!)

Karen and the rest of the UBPN Board of Directors have been working very hard (mostly Karen and the Exec!) to make this a wonderful and fun-filled, ecucational experience.

Liz and Karen,

I also can't wait to meet you and everyone else that can make it.

As Courtney said we are hoping that more TBPIs can make it to camp this year. They really did have a great time at camp last time. They all came away learning from each other and making new friends.

Mother of Ryan 27 TBPI since 2000.

See you in Sept.

Karen

I know we are waiting for "particulars" to come out in the next Outreach, but in the interrest of getting good prices on airline tickets, I'm going to go ahead and share a "rumor" I heard (via TV commentator,) that prices will go up after April.
The camp will be at the 4-H Center in MD, but you can fly into D.C. National/Reagan or into Dullus, VA There is also an airport in MD (I'm not sure what it's called--sorry). I believe that National/Reagan is the closest to the camp.
The Metro is an excellant and cost effective way to travel around (and that info will be made available to campers, as well).

There is much, much more, but I wanted to let you all know that if you see tickets at a good price during this month and are planning on coming to camp, that you might want to jump on them before they go up in price.

Hi,
The other airport is Baltimore.
Regan would be the closest airport with Dulles and Baltimore about the same distance-wise.

Looking forward to it.
