Hi guys, i've been reading a very interesting site which claims herbs can relieve nerve pain. It is quite wordy but interesting. The recommended herbs for nerve pain are; capsaicin, chamomile, gotu kola, liquorice and white willow. Could be a good alternative to drugs? Has anyone ever tried this approach?
Here's the site

Re: Herbal/ holistic relief for nerve pain?
Hi Dave,
There is a person from China that posts some times. I read a post that the father went to a Chinese doctor and was give herbs for pain. So I discussed this with a friend at work who is from China. He said that he has gone to a Chinese herbalist from pain relief from carpal tunnel syndrome. Unfortunately he has yet to return to work do to a death in his family. After things settle down for him I will try to get more info. One thing he had said before is that some of the herbs are illeagal in the US. As I find out more I'll let you know. Cheers...Karl...

Re: Herbal/ holistic relief for nerve pain?
Hi Dave,
I supposed the person Karl mentioned is me but I am from Singapore. My dad goes to see a Chinese physician and indeed the pain reduced. At this point of time, he has dropped all pain relieve. Although the pain is there at times but is it not as bad and most importantly no side effect. What the physician told us is that the herbal medicine he prescribed is meant to relax the nerve and thus relieve the pain.
Cheers,
Hwee Yong
