Hi haven't posted in while..Eoghan is now 16mo and 9mo post op and I am seeing some inspiring movements
Since xmas he has been able to move his arm up gradually more each week and he is now able to raise it around 50 degrees upwards and also outwards from his body,he can bend it slightly at elbow to pick things up and has controlled movements with the hand even managing to put shapes into sorter with erbs arm!!
We are starting e stim on him the CRC are loaning me the equipment to do it at home which is really nice they did a session on Wed and he withstood it quite well so hopefully it'll help.
I am just so proud of Eoghan for all his accomplishments and how bright he is to adapt to what he wants to do.He is so aware of his arm now constantly holding it and bringing it into play he even pushed his cousin around the zoo on easter in her buggy using both hands...
This board gave me so much "knowledge" that I've needed in the last year I would've been lost without it and to see new mums post this year makes me so sad as it brings back how desperate I felt in that first few months and how unfair that its still happening but my salvation was this site so hopefully they'll get as much out of it as I did..
