3D CT Scan
3D CT Scan
As some of you may have read, I was haivng trouble tracking down exactly what happened to my daughter, Alyssa's CT Scan. Well, after much time on the phone, seems it was sent to Dr. Nath in February, only to be sent back for some reason. Then, when it cmae time for the radiologist here to write the rport up on the scan, they were totally clueless as to her type of inury so it was sent to Chicago on March 18th, then sent to IU Medical center in Indianapolis where they were able to decipher exactly what Dr. Nath wanted written in the report. I was told it was very rare to see this type of injury. Insurance was credited for the entire scan. Someone from radiology has been calling me to let me know what was going on. I was called yesterday to say the overnighted the films back to Dr. Nath and that they arrived there yesterday morning. Dr. Nath also wanted a video from us so I also overnighted it to him. It arrived there at 9am this morning so I am hoping to know soon if Alyssa will need the triangle tilt or not.

Re: 3D CT Scan
I'm glad you made some progress. Just a suggestion for next time -- ask the radiology dept. for a copy of the scan on CD. Then you can copy onto your computer and either mail the CD to Dr. Nath or e-mail the files to him. We recently had a scan done and they're going to provide us with a copy of the film and a CD. When we see Dr. Nath in NJ next week, we'll bring the film with us. It's kinda neat to get it on CD -- then you'll have a copy to keep too and you can compare scans done at different times. Hope this helps. ~Tina
