recently had 3-bypass (12/04), complained about pain down side of neck into shoulder especially when walking-1st doctor told me I needed physical therapy and that I should be happy about bypass being succesful-2nd told me it was a frozen shoulder and it would be fine in about 9-12 months-3rd doctor told me it was just a mild winging gave shot of cortizone-most important all 3 said bypass surgery couldn't have anything to do with it-I had a vein taken out of each side of chest-pain at times overwhelming

Hi I had quadruple bypass surgery Jan/05. The surgery was successfull Doc's say my heart has no muscle damage. How ever I had complications when put on ventilater. They were 3 weeks getting me weaned off and when I woke up I had pain numbness, burning, tingling in R arm from elbow to finger tips. Doc's say this is possibly BPI and could take 6 mos to year to get better. My arm also gets cold and very painful then. I have been using heating pad to help with this and decreases pain for a while. When arm gets to hot then painful again. I also take neurontin 3x/day. I just found this web sight and I will check here often. I guess there are a lot of us with this injury.
