Hello again, My daughter is set to have surgery on Monday, March7. We found out she avulsed more than just c6t1,she also avulsed c2,3,& 4. we don't have a whole lot of options in what they are going to do. Since her phrenic nerve was avulsed they can't use her intercostal nerves. The most we can hope for will be shoulder stability and some bicep movement and then if her c5 does have a stump like they are hoping they might be able to get her some hand sensation. Now for my questions. Does anybody know of a good website that I can look up some adaptive items? Like Piano music for one hand, or video game controllers? She wants to get back to playing the piano but I can't seem to find any books for one handed piano playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Rene,
I was actually a piano performance major before my accident. There is some music that you can find that is for one hand. Which hand is affected? There is quite a famous pianist who only plays with his left hand.
You also might want to consider some of the composers from the romantic period. For example, Chopin has right hand melodies in a lot of his music. My email is
ladydanzia@purplechristel.com if you have any questions. I will try to get the name of the left-handed pianist for you.
All the best to you and your daughter.
Gillian

Thank you, She was right handed but now she is forced to be left handed. I will try on the internet again for one handed sheet music for the left hand.
thanks
