DLA benefit

I said I would you you posted about my sons claim for DLA benefit. After completing the noval like questionaire, which is very very repeatative I might add! My son was given the measly sum of £60.00 per month, we appealed and said he needed much more help than they said he needed.
In the appeal process he was still offered the £60.00 or we could have his case looked at my an independant body.
The long awaited reply came back, the independant assessor has decided he needs to be examined by a specialist as they cannot make this sort of decision by reading about his case, which we think is a good thing because you cannot explain pain in writing alone.
He has to wait until April to be seen and if he wins it will be backed dated from September.
As before watch this space!
