Hey Scott its Courtney here, TBPI crossing over.... there was a thread started by a obpi mom on the general board.... this is how it strated.....
I just took Jared on the computer and showed him some of the pictures that are on the BPI pictures web site that Courtney set up.
We went thru all of them and when he saw Scott Smith (i think htat was his name)he freaked out. "A policeman man with an obpi arm?" "momma, does this mean I can be a policeman?" He was so excited.....
I told him he could do anything we wanted. Then he said "I will have to practice shooting a gun with my obpi huh?" What I wanted to say then was....."well...Jared. You can also be a laywer or an accountant or a garbage man or......so on and so on....anythign except something dagerous." and not because of his arm.... what is it my mom used to say? 'its not that i dont trust you...its the other people i worry about!'
Anyway.... my little 4 year old was so excited to see that he can be a policeman when he grows up! Isnt it funny how they start to realize their limitations? I have never told Jared that there will be things he cannot do! Ever! 4 today, 20 next week. yikes!
Thnkas to Scott Smith and Courtney!
Just had to share with you if you didnt see it! What a great thing for a child to see you in uniform!!!
COurt xx
