can anyone relate?

Post by admin »

I got a severe case of frozen shoulder as result of a nerve injury(which healed to it max on its own).Ive been in PT for the past 3 years to get the range back. Finally after all that time we have gotten me to good ranges. Now,what about muscle?Anyone have any idea after all this time if I will regain muscle? The best I can do is lift 1 pound into a lower cubboard and we have been doing alot of strethning in therapy to.Any advice/help is appreciated.Thanks. Sandi

Hi, I can relate.. In the accident that caused my BPI my shoulder was broken and dislocated and I got frozen shoulder. It took years of stretching but i regained most of the ROM of the shoulder. To strengthen muscle my physio gave me some theraband, a kind of big elastic band in different strengths. You put one end under your foot or something to anchor it and stretch the band to work your muscle and strengthen it. Also standing next to a wall and trying to push against it helped strengthen muscle in my shoulder. Hope that helps,
Dave
