IMS treatments anyone?

Hello all
I have recently heard about a doctor who does IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) through someone who has TOS, goes to this doctor for regular treatments, and has experienced good pain relief from it.
I had read about this a year ago and was interested at the time but it was not yet available in my area. This doctor is a 2 hour commute away for me and I am undecided whether it would be worth the painful ride both ways to get these treatments.
Has anyone here ever had IMS treatments? What was your experience please? Were they helpful? Would it be worth the commute?
Thanks for any input in advance!
