Somebody is trying

Post by admin »

More news on the pain medication front. Apparently, the FDA has approved a new drug for chronic pain, and it should be on the market by the end of January. Unfortunately, it is for infusion pump use only, however, it is a calcium channel blocker and is to be used for people with severe chronic pain, infusion pumps, and an over tolerance to morphine -- including amputees. This drug is made from a synthetic version of paralytic marine snail venom by a company in Ireland called Elan. The drug's name is Prialt. Though this may not work for most of us, it shows that there are highly advanced companies working on the problem of chronic pain.
Hold on, there may be hope after all. One paw
