My wife was recently diagnosed with BP, she has never had trauma to her arms, nor are there any tumors, is this common to just happen out of the blue. She is 53 years old and has little strenght compared to a year ago. Any ideas? Who is the foremost Doctor in the United States for traetment of BP, I have heard of Dr. Alan Belzberg at Johns Hopkins, who are others and does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello! Welcome to our website and our littlee 'family' of people here. a BPI can come from many different things (mva, motrbikes, surgery, over stretching) so it really is hard to say. Here is a link to the medical resource directory that we have been compiling here at UBPN. http://ubpn.org/medicalresources/us-bpi.html Dr. Belzburg is great.... also check out hte Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.... also check out Dr. Nath in Houston .... these are three doctors widely used aoriund here. Best of luck to you and feel free to ask as many questions as possible!

I agree with Courtney - this board has enough active people on it that you should be able to get good advice. Another doctor we hear good things about is Drs Kline & Tiel in New Orleans.

Where do you live?
