Hi. Is there anyone who has recommendations for doctors and therapists for adults in L.A.? Also, can anyone with a "Saturday Night Palsy" type of injury provide info. on their treatment/recovery? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Christopher Janney lives in LA - I'll see if I can find him! And I'm sure there are others.

elissa,
Just saw your post. I've been crazy busy lately. I know Ande is seeing a Dr. Edgerton in the valley. He posts under the name diargasm. Hope this helps...Karl...

Yes, I see Dr. Edgerton from Kaiser Permanente in West LA. Hi usually accompanied by Dr. Kazmiroff (neurologist) and Dr. Pierce (shoulder specialist). I'd recommend them very much. If you need more details about my operation, I'd gladly tell you.

Thank you. Problem with Edgerton is that he's Kaiser, and I'm not. I did go see the other guy listed on the specialists resource page, who was at USC. All I got from him was that it's too early to talk surgery, and the guy he refers to for PT was too far for me. What about your PT? Did you/are you doing that through Kaiser too? Thanks.

elissa,
Check out Dr. Fredric L. Edelman. He is the head peripheral nerve guy at UCLA. I went to him when I found out my doctor was a ####!&*. He has an office near LAX on Manchester Blvd. He took one look at my tests, records, pictures and sent me to Dr. Kline for surgery. He knew I had avulsed nerves after 20 minutes with me. My old neurosurgen had been treating me for 15 months, and never figured it out. Do a search on google for him, sould take you right to the UCLA sight. It has his west LA phone number there. If you can't locate it, email me and I'll find it for you. Let me know how it goes. Good luck...Karl...

Thank you. Things seem to be improving with me, and I did see Dr. Stevanovich at USC, so I'm not so worried about a Dr. anymore. But I am still looking for good PT. Who have you gone to--would you recommend them? Thanks.
